The Jemez Mountain Trails Runs take place in the scenic Jemez Mountains in and around Los Alamos, New Mexico. These trail races feature challenging terrain including steep hills, rocky trails, and high elevation. The half marathon will run on the same course as previous years while the 50km and 50 mile races will feature new terrain in 2012. The races are well-supported with many aid stations and a festive finish atmosphere. All entrants receive a race shirt, commemorative poster, and access to the pre-race pasta dinner. Unique pottery finishers awards are handmade by a local Jemez pueblo potter.
